Tolerance of Islam - One of the important features of Islam is peace, Islam seeks to strengthen peace for mankind and for the achievement of the objectives it laid the foundations of Islamic religious tolerance. One of the basic teachings of Islam who got the first place is the recognition of truth all the messengers of God who sent Him for guidance to people for whom they have been sent since the time of Adam We read in the Holy Qur'an:
"And for all the people there was an apostle". (10:48).
"And for every people there is a clue" (13:8). '
"And indeed we have raised in every nation a messenger to the teachings of 'Serve Allah and shun the cause of Evil." (16:37).
"And no one except the people in it have passed a warner." (35:25)
Islam is the first religion to recognize the prophets and all the revealed religions even though the prophets preceding religions that focus their attention only to those peoples and certain tribes to whom they are sent. The Holy Prophet of Islam, Prophet Muhammad was sent not only to the Arabs but to all mankind.
"And we sent you as an Apostle to all people". (4:80)
"Say: 'O people, I sesunggunya Messenger to you all that in him the kingdom of heaven and earth." (7:159)
"And we are not sent thee but as a bearer of tidings and a warner to all mankind, but most men know not." (34:29)
Let's look back at the history of Islam and see how the principles of religious tolerance is applied. Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him and his followers suffered years of persecution in Mecca before migrating to safer places in Medina that is located 200 miles from Mecca. There the prophet Muhammad set the Muslim community and one of the main steps taken by all that he is entered into agreements with three major groups include the Jews of Medina, his followers in Medina (Anshor) and a group of Muslims from Mecca (muhajirin). Islam does not restrict further salvation for Muslims, following verse indicates those who believe in God and the Last Day and do righteous deeds sincerely and no cause for fear and grief.
"Surely those who believe, the Jews and the Christians and the Sabians who believes in Allah and the Hereafter, and do righteous deeds will receive the reward from their Lord, and no fear upon them nor will they grieve."

"Allowed to fight for those who fight because they have been wronged and verily God is able to help them. Namely those who were expelled from their homes unjustly only because they said, 'Our god is God "(22: 40-41)
"And fight in the way of Allah those who fight you but do not transgress. Surely Allah loves not transgressors.
These verses allow the uslimin to war only when they become victims of aggression and religious freedom is in danger. Anyone who studies the history of Islam know that for a long time Muhmammad Holy Prophet SAW and his followers were persecuted by the opponents in their efforts to eradicate Islam and early Muslims in Arabia.Islam means peace and the Holy Prophet Muhammad always strive to uphold the peace and making peace treaties with those hostile to him, including the agreement Hudaibiah agreed that if an unbeliever went to the Muslims he had returned. This agreement proves that there is no coercion used against the infidels. It is a covenant of religious tolerance, the Qur'an only permits war to defend themselves. Not only these people enjoy life tolerance of Islam under Muslim governments but also doing well, pertimbagnan and honest thinking. Tolerance of Islamic governments have placed appropriately by HJ Schoops:
